| | -- new partition -- Hi, I just bought a notebook with windows vista business installed. It has a 120GB hard disk with one primary partition of 120GB. I would like to create 3 partitions of 40GB each one. Is there a way to do this with the disk management of windows vista?, if it's possible, how do I do this? In advance thanks for your help. | | RE: -- new partition -- This is not exactly a security question, but yes. You open up Computer Management, go to Disk Management, right click the partition and select "shrink volume." --- Your question may already be answered in Windows Vista Security: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/047...otectyourwi-20 "Edmundo J. Visa does have a tool to create partitions but it might not work to create three 40GB partitions. It depends on what the shrink partition will do. If that won't work, you'll need a 3rd party partition manager. BootIt NG (BING) and latest version of Acronis Disk Director work in Vista. Do not use Partition Magic. It's not compatible yet. FYI this is more of a microsoft.public.windows.vista.installation_setup question. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
