| | Machine Authentication. I am about to try this but somebody told me Machine Authentication doesn't work with Vista. If anybody can give me some tips on how to get Machine Authentication to work on Vista that would be great. First I need to figure out how to connect to a domain with Vista. I already have a question on the domain issue. |

| | Re: Machine Authentication. Were you able to get Machine Authentication to work with Vista and Windows XP. I am about to try it myself. I am using windows 2003 Server with Microsoft Vista as my client. I want the PC to authenticate first then I will select CTRL+ALT+DELETE and login in with my Username and Password. If anybody knows how to do this with Vista please let me know. Thanks Scott -- sgilmour Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |

| | Re: Machine Authentication. Hi Scott, try this, Go to Control Panel then System and Maintenance then System and do the following: Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, click Change settings. From the System Properties dialog box, click Change. In the Computer Name Changes dialog box, type the computer name in Computer name. Click Domain and type the Active Directory domain name. Click OK. When prompted, type your domain name and password to join the computer to the domain. Restart the computer when prompted. Hope this helps, regards Steve -- Steve Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
