Vista - Windows Defender won't update

Hi,
I'm running new 32-bit Vista Business laptop with an AMD Turion x64 and
today it won't let me get updates for Windows Defender. The messege I get is
The program can't check for updates. The error code is 0x80240029. I don't
know if it will check on Windows Update (because I got the computer Friday).
The update version thats on it now is 1.18.2533.5 .


What's wrong?

You're not the only person with that error code. It gets many people,
including me with an otherwise flawless Vista system. MS should fix this
with a firm patch, not a workaround. Other than that, Vista rules!
