| Guest | UAC does not accept Banxafe Smart Card Reader For my home banking I have this external USB smart card reader (Ingenico Banxafe) with numeric pad. The secure website of my bank insists on using Internet Explorer AND Microsoft Virtual Machine to communicate with the smart card reader. If I turn UAC fully OFF, then my home banking works fine. But if UAC is turned ON, the home banking secure web site reports "Smart card reader not found". I suspect it has something to do with one or more of Vista's security settings, which blocks Microsoft VM (without any prompt or message) but I haven't a clue which setting it could be. Does anybody know a solution? TIA -- _____________________________________________ Francis Kennis, aka E Pericoloso Sporgersi http://www.cisken.be/graphics/graphic_sig.gif |

What if you add the site to the trusted zone? I'm thinking it may be protected mode which is stopping it working. |

It is, otherwise it wouldn't work at all, regardless the UAC status. > I'm thinking it may be protected mode which is stopping it working. > -- _____________________________________________ Francis Kennis, aka E Pericoloso Sporgersi http://www.cisken.be/graphics/graphic_sig.gif |
