| Guest | Unable to access Event Log I have a real problem. Every single time that I try to open the event log in the MMC, Windows says the service is not running. Then I go to the services plug-in, and try to start the service. Every time, it gives me "Error 4201, the instance passed was not recognized as valid by a WMI data provider." I go into dos, and use the WMIC interface, but when I try to open the Event Log part, it doesn't work either. Help!!! I am a serious computer programmer and I really need access to the event log!!!!! -- |)4.-7|-| |-|4x0.- |

| Guest | Re: Unable to access Event Log Well, I would recommend checking the event log for errors, but I guess that is out of the question .Is the wmi service running? - JB On Tue, 22 May 2007 09:11:05 -0700, Darth Haxor <DarthHaxor@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >Oh, BTW, I am running Vista Home Premium. |
