| | Resuming from sleep -- TBS Error 0x8007001f Hi all, Ever since upgrading my laptop (a Thinkpad T60p) to Vista, I've been encountering a vexing problem. As often as not, when returning from sleep or hibernate, it hangs on a screen stating things to the effect of "Locking your computer..." Sometimes other standard booting messages are displayed during this time. Note that I have fingerprint authentication enabled through Lenovo's mechanism. During this time the all but the shell functions as normal. Sometimes, it will even begin indexing my files, however the only way to get my computer working again is a hard reset. This problem did not occur with Windows XP, which was pre-installed on my laptop, although the sticker states it is Vista "capable." A scan of the event log reveals a TBS error on boot, which I will include at the end of this post. I have applied numerous updates through Microsoft, Lenovo, and Atmel (maker of the TPM) in attempting to resolve this issue, to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Found a solution? Google turns up a whole lot of nothing. Thanks in advance, Adam |

Actually there are three similar log items, so I will include them all: Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-TBS Date: 5/22/2007 7:17:31 PM Event ID: 16385 Task Category: None Level: Error Keywords: User: LOCAL SERVICE Computer: TAB Description: An internal TBS error was detected. | | Re: Resuming from sleep -- TBS Error 0x8007001f Hello, I am encountering a similar problem. I have installed Vista 32bit with Celeron M 1.7 GHz, Energy options: balanced (active) After setting up the system with additional software and leaving the computer for several hours running untouched, the system can only started again with a hard reset (CMOS reset). System recovery can not be started, only with the mentioned error message (0x90007001F) appears. In the device manager, no problems appear. Any suggestions?
