Installing Norton AntiVirus

I have Norton AntiVirus 2005, and I am trying to install it on vista, but says

"This product requires Windows 98, windows Me, and windows XP. setup will
quit."

I'v contact Symantic, and they said it can only work on those OS listed
Above.
Is there anyway I can make Norton Antivirus 2005 work on Vista?

Re: Installing Norton AntiVirus

Not that version of Norton.
At least not until Norton adapts it for Vista, but that will probably never
happen with a 2 year old anti virus.

Re: Installing Norton AntiVirus

They are working on vista version, but you will probably have to buy it
again.

Re: Installing Norton AntiVirus

Symantec have a beta version in development that should be available soon.

If you register as a beta tester, you might get a copy to evaluate with this
system.

I'm still waiting for the invitation.

Re: Installing Norton AntiVirus

Only Norton product I'd ever install is Symantec AV Corp. Norton has
completely bloated and ruined NIS, Norton AV, and Ghost (soon as they dumped
the ghost engine for DriveImage in Ghost9 the problem complaints multiplied
tenfold).
