Unable to create new threads

I am participating in a online class and cannot seem to create new message
threads or respond to anyone's message. I can read the messages, click on
replying etc but it will not give me a box to type text in. Can anyon help?

You probably have not logged in or otherwise complied with the requirements
to have access.... or the site might not yet have allowed you access. Check
with
the site.

Create new threads in what? You might want to talk with the administrator
for that on line class or web site or wherever it is you're having problems.
