Security permissions

I am trying to download AOL Instant Messanger and save the installation
wizard in C drive > Program Files > AIM (folder). When i try to save this
wizard it gives me an error saying: "You don't have permission to save in
this location. Contact the administrator to abtain permission. Would you like
to save it in the __(insert name)__ folder instead?

Re: Security permissions

Save the installation file to your Desktop or some other folder under
C:\Users\(Your Name), like C:\Users\(Your Name)\Downloads. When you
double-click on the installer, it will put the files it needs in the correct
C:\Program Files subfolder. You can then delete the installation file once
the installation is complete.

Program Files are write protected. Don't save your files there. A good place
to save downloads is in your Downloads folder.

You get denied access error because you're an idiot: you have disabled the
UAC!
With UAC ON you get a prompt in order to grant the permission. Click on
"Continue" and the file will be written. With UAC ON it's so easy, so simple.
