I just got another batch of seven patches and an update for my video card
that just may fix my wandering task bar (it loves the vga monitor which I
use for my extended desktop and goes back there on every restart).

It didn't. The taskbar still starts up on the vga monitor connection.

Has anyone had trouble installing these updates? I get faliure on KB919946
and KB920684. Error codes are 800B0100 and 80070057. This is annoying, as I
suspect that the first of these will help with all the BSODs that I have
been getting!!

Any ideas anyone?

had the 46 problem, plus a 93, but after selecting the OFF button with the
update window oppen, shows a shield on the button and allows the installing
of updates and shutting down the system. Doing that fixed my update problems.
