I installed Windows Defender when I had Vista Home Premium installed. It tes
the Defender almost four hours to scan my computer (quick scan), and I don't
have very much on this computer. What should I do?

When you had? Meaning you no longer have Vista on the system?
Check System/MotherBoard maker for new drivers - ALL of them
and also for BIOS Updates and Harddrive Drivers/Programs.
Also use Defender to look at your StartUp and Running Programs to
see if you have something interferring. Do you have other Virus or
Spyware programs running?
Deleting temp files and other suhc garbage can shorten the scan time
too.
