AVG Anti-virus issue

I deleted Norton so I could get my e-mail working and installed AGV
Anti-Virus. Now, whenever I restart my computer I get a message saying that
"The application failed to initialize properly". What do I do now?

Re: AVG Anti-virus issue

Start with removing completely it first and please do install it on a
different folder or so partition in your hard drive, the possibility of a
corrupted previous installation might be the cause. And please redownload a
newer version of the said Security Application

instead of C:\Program Files\Grisoft****

have it just like this C:\Grisoft****

Well you can give this a try

Did you uninstall Norton cleanly? Norton is notorious for leaving crap
behind that can mess with other apps. They have instructions at their
website to remove it cleanly. Just clicking on uninstall is not good enough.
Only issue I have had with AVG on Vista was an old version that they claimed
was Vista compatible but wasn't. Since they fixed that I have seen no
issues. You aren't using an old version by any chance?
