| | RE: activex add-on LostOnVista, This may or not help you. On the downloaded file right click it and select Properties. Click on the "Unblock" button and try to install it. If this does not work, right click the file and select "Run as Administrator". Have a nice day. C.B. |

| | Re: activex add-on i had to first reset the admin function. after doing so, i was able to see the 'run as administrator' when right clicking on the shortcut. as expected i ran into the same problem. the error message is always the same: "Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher" still won't work..... thanks for trying anyways. | | Re: activex add-on I have the same issue with Windows Vista wanting to block an ActiveX control I WANT TO INSTALL. It is annoying me to no end. MICROSOFT should explain this CRAP not just take control away from us!! Still don't know how to intall this. Any help that allows me to by-pass the blocking of the ActiveX control I WANT would be of great help to me. I am at a web page that wants to install an ActiveX control that will allow me to observe chess games being played at a chess site.
