See this link for the details you need to include in your next post: http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm Some examples of what we need to know: 1. Are you in a network? If yes, peer-to-peer or domain? 2. Do you use a wireless keyboard/mouse? If yes, are there other computers in the room that have wireless keyboards/mice also? 3. What antivirus do you use? 4. What changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |

| Guest | Re: Mouse Gone Nuts! The mouse pointer moves on the screen and even clicks on icons and the click opens the program associated with the icon. All of this continues when the PC is: 1. Not connected to the internet. 2. Not connected to a network. 3. Mouse unpluged from the PC. It was cured when I ran various anti-spyware programs but came back after my family used the PC for the day while connected to the internet. I got rid of this bad behavior a second time by running Vista's system restore utility to an earlier system time status. Since it came back I assume this is a virus or worm or some other software issue. Richard |
