| | Re: re; Adding programs to startup group Right click on the Start Orb, and select Explore all Users. Then past your shortcut in the Startup folder. (You will get a UAC prompt, but going this way should allow you the necessary permissions to add items to your Start Menu.) -- I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! <oldman@old.net> wrote in message news:vroeb3h6fo2k52qssnmu1tq29ubba5b8cr@4ax.com... > Can some one please post how to add programs to the startup group. | | Re: re; Adding programs to startup group I followed your instruction. Changed permissions for sharing. However after all of that the system responded with An error occurred while trying to share Start Menu. Access denied. The shared resource was not created at this time. I assume once you add the shortcut if you open msconfig you should see the program you want in the startup group appearing there? Thanks for persevering with me On Mon, 6 Aug 2007 14:46:16 -0400, "Cal Bear '66" <xxx@xxx.org> wrote: >Right click on the Start Orb, and select Explore all Users. | | Re: re; Adding programs to startup group There is no need to change permissions. When you right click on the Start Orb, and select Open A L L Users, the changes will be made for ALL users. After a restart, your program should be shown in msconfig's Startup tab for all users logged onto the system. -- I Bleed Blue and Gold GO BEARS! <oldman@old.net> wrote in message news ucfb39odnlhg4mcsm07mmqvtt47413qh5@4ax.com...>I followed your instruction.
