| Guest | Won't accept passwords for Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc. Hello; I have a Gateway desktop running OEM Windows Vista. New out of the box, I could log-in to my ISP email, Hotmail, etc. The computer no longer accepts any passwords and won't log into any websites such as email and home banking. Any ideas what settings have been changed so I can gain access to password required websites? Thank you, |

| Guest | RE: Won't accept passwords for Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc. How do you enter the password? What is happening when you try to enter a password? What error messages does it give you? --- Your question may already be answered in Windows Vista Security: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/047...otectyourwi-20 "Richard" wrote: > Hello; > > I have a Gateway desktop running OEM Windows Vista. | Guest | RE: Won't accept passwords for Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc. Jesper / Others: I enter the password the same as any other computer; no 'caps' on. When I type in my User name and Password, it will tell me that the email address or password is incorrect. (Hotmail) For Yahoo!, it tells me to Please Verify Your Password. I can access my Yahoo! DSL homepage, Yahoo! mail and Hotmail with no problem using any of my other computers. I have even tried entering a different user but get the same error messages and cannot access those pages. Other sites, such as an automobile forum requiring a User name and Password, I can access with no log-in problems. Today, I used Internet Tools and deleted all the files from Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, History, Form Data and Passwords, but that didn't solve the problem either. | Guest | Re: Won't accept passwords for Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc. Hello dean-dean; Yes, the date and time are set correctly and both sites are set for cookies... confusing to me as that I cannot access Hotmail, Yahoo! or eBay, yet other websites that require a user name and password I can log in to with no problem...
