He downloaded it from one of the many P2P networks that exist only to
illegally distribute
pirated software.

There's a chance you might be correct, but you're clearly ignorant of
SAVCE's licensing terms. The OP could easily have come by it legitimately.

Perhaps, but I know of no single individual who goes through the time and
expense to buy a legitimate
copy of it for a single computer.

In the P2P world, "Corporate" edition is nothing more than a cover word for
pirated copies.

You'll notice that the OP has not responded to this thread...another sign
that his copy is not legitimate.

If the Op had indeed a legitimate corporate license, he would have the
commensurate support and not have to ask
in these forums.

Again, we should not condone and support piracy of any kind, and we should
not assume that anyone who posts here
asking assistance for "Corporate" editions are using legitimate copies.

Of course not! It is an enterprise level solution, sold to businesses.
The employees of these licensed businesses are permitted to use SAVCE
on their home computers.

You're basing your accusations on the product's name? We're not in the
P2P world; we're in the real world. It's also the brand name of a
legitimate Symantec product.

Or that he's not particularly adept at finding his own thread,
again.... His post was pure "newbie," after all.

This isn't a forum, it's a newsgroup. You'd best learn a little about
newsgroups, Symantec products, and the real world before you start
blindly condemning others.

No one is supporting piracy, but only a fool would accuse someone else
of theft based solely upon his own complete ignorance of the subject at
hand, as you have done.

I would have to agree with Bruce. I use Symantec Corporate Anti-Virus on my
home computer. It's offered to all our employees by our IT department
(state government) for use at home to help protect our office computers when
work is transferred back and forth. This is permitted under the terms of
the software license and is completely legal. I don't know about the OP's
copy of the software but mine is certainly not pirated.
