Vista Tutorial - eDataSecurity

"This software is malfunctioning. Please reboot the computer and try again.
If the problem persists, please close all running programs and reinstall Acer
eDataSecurity Management."

I recieve this message many times throughout the day. I restart it but it
keeps going. Yet I don't know how to reisntal the Acer eDataSecurity
Management because it automatically came on my computer when I bought this.
So how do I got abouts fixing this error?

A new patch is available for download in the support section of the Egis website. This will resolve a Microsoft Vista compatibility issue that affects some users after recent Windows updates are applied.
Egis Option Pack for Acer eDataSecurity

This version will upgrade your existing installation of Acer eDataSecurity Management to the latest version.

Operation Guide (How to apply the upgrade):
1. Download Egis™ for Acer eDataSecurity Management Program Update.
2. Extract edsUpgrade_2.5.4244.exe from the zip file.
3. Run edsUpgrade_2.5.4244.exe.
4. Follow the upgrade steps on screen. When “Setup has finished installing edsUpgrade” is displayed, the update will have been successfully applied.
5. All existing Acer eDataSecurity Management settings will remain unchanged.

Acer Empowering Technology is not a part of Vista, you should take a look at
your computer manufacturer's home page. Try to download and install a more
recent version of eData Security from
http://global.acer.com/support/download.htm.

How about you go to control panel to uninstall "Acer eDataSecurity" first and then re-install this version (eDataSecurity 2.8.4364)?
