security

every time i turn my computer on i have to go into my security centre and
turn my firewall on manually also i cant get my malware to work it says it
cant find any updates. i do have norton security 2007 that was put on my
computer in june and i have had my windows vista since february. can someone
help me as im not really computer literate and i am a bit weary about letting
any else going on the internet until i have sorted this out. thank you

1st of all Its a bad idea to have 2 firewalls.......Vista has one and your
Norton has one.Turn off whichever one you are NOT using.
When the message pops up does it specify which firewall???
I would suggest you turn off the Vista one under Security Center....which
also might solve your update problem
