Vista - Windows Module Installer on Vista Ultimate

Hello All,

I have a problem, that I cannot make any update on vista, and the
trustedinstaller.exe always crash down, and gives me an error number
800706BE. And also windows defender cannot check any updates, and even MSN
messenger, i cannot install it.

i face similar problems. i just bought a brand new acer ferrari 1000 and
buddies at microsoft and acer can figure it out.
what is your brand of pc or laptop ?

80070057 - ERROR_INVALID_PARAMENTER.
Most likely a Third party service which is running on the computer and
causing this problem.
Try cleaning booting and then installing the updates.
Otherwise investigate what you've recently installed that could be
contributing to this problem.

I have the same problem, my computer keeps saying "Windows Module Installer
stopped working and was closed." Then, it tells me to update, but it won't
