File Security Question

Hi,
I read trhough some of the information on the MS site but I'm still
confused. Any help is appreciated.

Under the Properties|Security tab for files on my PC it shows the
Administrators Group has Full Control. My account is an administrator
account, but I need to add it to the list of "Group or user names" in the
security tab to get full control of a file. Otherwise I just have read and
read & execute privedges.

So my question is why isn't my administrator account getting the permissions
set up for the administrator group? TIA.

RE: File Security Question

With User Account Control (UAC) the administrator's group is not present in
your security token unless you go through the elevation. That is why you do
not automatically have access to everything that Administrators have access
to.

This really is answered in the book BTW. :-)
