| | Running Vista as a "LAN only" workstation. Hello, I tried to google, but was unable to find any instructions that tell someone how to disable the MS-Vista internet connection. I would like my Vista machine to be able to access the other computers in the LAN only. How can one do this? I am about to spend some quality time with my router, to see if I can accomplish this via router settings. If anyone has any suggestions on this, I would greatly appreciate them. Perplexed, John |

So long as the rest of your PCs are on the same subnet then the VISTA PC will still see them. Provided the user using the PC is a standard user they won't be able to change the IP address settings and re-add the gateway in. |
