| Hotmail from live messenger Hi all, When I open hotmail from windows live messenger, the page opens from an already open internet explorer web page + a new one with a message saying that the email address or password is incorrect. Does it happen to anyone else here? any solutions? Thanks in advance. pepene. p.s. it never happened in XP but is happening on my new vista |

This way Windows Live Messenger will open the Hotmail inbox in WLM instead of IE7. WLM supports Pop3, IMAP, HTTP website (EX: Hotmail) email, and is a lot more stable. Plus, WLM will minimize to a tray bar icon and has a separate Inbox for each account. WLM will automatically import Windows Mail messages, accounts, and settings into it. Contacts will have to be manually imported from within WLM. (Tools, Contacts, File, Import, Address book for current Windows User.) To see the Menu bar, press ALT+M and check "Show all menus". For US and UK (32 bit Vista): http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas For US and UK (64 bit Vista): Windows Live Beta 2 Suite Downloads For non-US and non-UK locations (direct download): http://g.live.com/1rebeta/WLM_en-us Shawn |

| Re: Hotmail from live messenger Thanks Shawn really appreciate ur response, Don't know why Mr Gates didnt stick to the saying " if it ain't broke, don't fix it" anyway guess Ill have to get used to this, even with this windows live mail, to know if u have got new mail, u have to open MSN and then it does the same thing like open in an already open browser and thats annoying as you lose ur work! |

You may need to do the sign in for Windows Live Messenger with you username and password the first time, but it should work. Shawn |

You can change the settings in IE7 for tab browsing so that Open links from other programs in: is set to either A new window or A new tab in current window. See this tutorial for how: How to Use Tabbed Browsing in Internet Explorer in Vista Shawn |
