Hi Charles,

Welcome to the forum.

What program triggers this message?

You might run the Memory Diagnostics Tool to see if you may have any memory (RAM) problems. This tutorial will show you how.

How to Start the Memory Diagnostics Tool in Vista

Re: Vista

Hi Brink,
This problem happens after I cannot open read email.
I close down the computer and the window opens with the message at shutdown.
Thanks for the information.

Re: Vista

Charles,

Depending on the results from the Memory Diagnostics, it may just be related to not being able to open read email and shutting the computer down with a improperly running program.

Is this for Windows Live Mail Beta or Windows Mail?

Does it display this message when you shutdown the computer when it is not having any problems?

Re: Vista

Shawn,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I believe the computer shut down is with a improperly running program.

Windows mail. How do I know if it is Windows Live Mail Beta?

When the computer is not having any problems, the message does not show and the computer shuts done correctly.

Thank you,

Charles

Re: Vista

Charles,

Vista comes with Windows Mail. Windows Live Mail Beta (WLM) would of had to been installed by you separately. WLM would then take the place of Windows Mail as the default email program. You can tell by opening the Start menu and see what icon is there for your email program; Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail.

Make sure either one is closed before doing a shutdown to avoid possible problems.
