Why All The Email Problems ?

No specific question , just venting alittle . We all at one time had fairly trouble free email accounts(Outlook Express etc) and we anxiously moved on to Windows Vista(I run Vista x64 and love it). Now we are bombed with all kinds of problems , me included . I currently can not send out under Windows Live Mail and believe me I have tried all the excellent suggestions here in this forum . This forum helped me fix a few Vista bugs(printer etc) so I intend to hang out here quite often . My point is I know there is no such thing as a bug free program but I think Microsoft really missed on their email programs . You read their blogs , news releases and they supposedly have had Windows Live Mail beta tested extensively but reading the various threads here it does'nt look like they did a very good job . What do you think ?

Hi Rich,

Most of the problems with email is do to email scanning options in a antivirus program. McAfee and Norton being the most problematic, usually have to be uninstalled completely to resolve the problem with a email program.

Are you receiving any error messages from WLM on why you cannot send out? You might verify that all of your email account information is correct. Could be a typo somewhere.
