Vista - The newest WLM beta is just plain stupid

I downloaded the newest WLM beta (build 14.0.8050.1202) and whenever I click on the Mail notification instead of taking me to the usual login page i end up at NineMSN Hotmail.

They are technically the same site as after you login you end up in the same place but i prefer the look of the proper Hotmail (or Windows Live) login page.

Any help is appreciated

My apologies - I somehow managed to overlook the fact that you said WLM *Beta* - I think this is normal as this is still a Beta release....

If you were to revert to the old version I think it would solve that issue.

Its not a beta bug just an inability to change the default setting.

+ the official WLM forces you to use IE (which i despise) when you click on the mail icon.

The beta has more eye candy anyway

I'm looking for some way to make my computer automatically redirect from this site to the proper Hotmail (or Windows Live which ever way you like it)

I have tried with the hosts file and failed however with WLM 8.X you could use stuffplug (which doesn't support WLM 9) to change the default browser that opened. No, I do not want to revert to WLM 8 purely because WLM 9 looks and feels better to me.

Again - it is Beta. Send some feedback about it and wait.
