Files that couldn't be updates in live photo gallery?

Using windows live photo gallery and love it, it is very fast and embeds tags directly in the file, just what i wanted. I know that it will store tags in the gallery db if it cannot update a file directly, is there any way to see which files were not updated directly? I would like to resolve those issues so my wife can also see the tags. Given the number of photos we have it would be difficult to try and manually figure out on an ongoing basis.

when i start live photo gallery it always has about 385 tag updates, 2 file updates, and 2 thumbnails to process. does that mean there are 2 files it is retrying to update the tags for? If so would like to figure out which files they are.

For the most part I think almost all files are being updated directly as my wife sees the tags when she runs it on her computer, but it is hard to know what may be slipping through the cracks.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
peter
