I have installed the latest version of windows live messenger from got.live.com

have enabled all sorts of file sharing etc and nothing seems to work.
I use an intgrated webcam within my Packard Bell Laptop, it came with no software for it either.
to the problem
When i try to view other peoples webcam or other people view my webcam it loads for about 20 seconds then will disconnect, what can i do to resolve this problem?

Re: Windows Live 2009 Webcam Problem

It could be because of the Site Advisor of Mcafee (if you're using it.) Try the ff steps:

XP:

Be sure that you are logged in as an administrator on your computer in order to accomplish these steps.

1. Navigate to the following folder:

C:\Program Files\McAfee\SiteAdvisor

2. Right-click on the file sasets.ini and choose Open With, then select Notepad.

3. Locate the section titled [msnmsgr.exe].

4. Change Enabled=1 to Enabled=0.

5. Click File and select Save.

6. Close sasets.ini and restart your computer for changes to take effect.

Vista

1. Click Start, type notepad in Start Search box.

2. On the list of programs shown, right-click Notepad, select Run as Administrator.

3. Click File, click Open, copy and paste the following text:

C:\Program Files\McAfee\SiteAdvisor in File name box and click Open.

4. Open the sasets.ini file.

5. Locate the section titled [msnmsgr.exe].

6. Change Enabled=1 to Enabled=0.

7. Click File and select Save.

8. Close sasets.ini and restart your computer for changes to take effect.

Hope this helps
