I dont know what i am doing wrong

    I dont know what i am doing wrong

    I just installed WLM and then added my AOL account to it. I can recieve AOL email but cant send it, it comes up with the following

    The connection to the server has failed.

    Subject 'testing'
    Server: 'smtp.aol.com'
    Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 25
    Secure(SSL): No
    Socket Error: 10060

    Can someone help me please... Would make life much easier if i could get all my emails in one place instead of having to go to 3 diff places

    Have a work through this make sure its all set up right

    Setup AOL in Windows Live Mail (AOL Email Account Setup)

    I went through that and it is still not sending emails from my AOL account, so maybe i should try to call AOL if they have a New Zealand phone number..

    The outgoing SMTP is 25 and the incoming IMAP is 143 is that correct?

    I’d suggest getting in touch with AOL support as it seems that things are working on the WLM side. You may need to change the ports or enable the security settings on the sending side of things (which would live on the AOL servers).

    I'm sure AOL use port 587 for smtp
