| Vista home premium 32 | Windows Live Messenger shuts down as soon as I try signing in I recently reformated my computer. I reinstalled Windows Live Messenger, but as soon as I try logging in, it shuts down. I remember I had the same problem when I first bought the computer, but I forget how I fixed it :S My OS is in french, so the messages I get are all in French. I'll try translating them as best as I can. When it first shuts down, I get the message that a problem has occured which made the program stop working correctly; windows will close the program and will indicate if a solution is available. Then I get the message that to protect my computer, the prevention of data execution has closed windows live messenger. If I click on that bubble (previous message) i can read what is the prevention of data execution, and how to disable it (open system, click on avanced system configuration, go to performances, click on configuration, click on prevention of data execution), but it won't let me add windows live messenger. Is this a common problem? Thanks for any help |

Elevated Command Prompt Copy and paste this. netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled Hit enter and try.
