| vista basic | Re: cannot send mail via windows mail I'm with rr too. I have no problem sending out mail EXCEPT when I use an mobile aircard (Verizon). THEN I cannot send out using my windows mail RoadRunner email address - it wont go thru their outgoing server. They say they aren't blocking. But I get the same error using the aircard as you mention. Verizons fix: use a "public email address" i.e. hotmail, msn, etc. and send OUT thru that email address. It does work, but very aggravating. The aircard was thru Alltel, they gave me THEIR outgoing server address to put in RoadRunner's outgoing server box, and everything worked fine - I could send/receive from either home or the aircard, using my normal RoadRunner email address!!! Go figure - ticks me off as of Friday, the Alltel server was shutdown by Verizon, and I have to use Gmail just to send messages while on the aircard!!!! |
