| Vista Home Premium 32bit | cannot send mail via windows mail cannot send mail via windows mail Error Message:The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server: 'mail.bellosuth.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E I have had this problem since the new AT&T has been installed. have no problems receiving. I have Vista Home Edition. Server settings: pop.att.yahoo.net & smtp.att.yahoo.net outgoing 465 and incoming 995 I have contacted AT&T several times at many hours on the phone with them and they do not come up with an answer. I have deleted addy's, restarted my computer and made others several times. Did not work. I have uninstalled all of my firewalls. Did not work. I have contacted Dell and I am told there is no conflict with Vista and windows mail. I am at a lost now. I hope someone can help. TIA |

| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: cannot send mail via windows mail Hi- I am having the exact same problem and haven't been able to find a solution. I'm also using att/yahoo and one thing I noticed is that your incoming mail server address is wrong. I double checked on the att site - it should be smtp.att.yahoo.com - not .net. I don't know if that will solve our problem - that is the server setting I've been using and I still can't get my email to send consistently. Good Luck. |
