Is it possible to move Windows Live Hotmail messages from that server to my folder on my local computer like Outlook Express used to do. I do not want to use different email accounts. I just want to download and remove certain messages. I am not at all comfortable leaving my business messages online for every other user to see. I have tried to use Windows Mail with the new Hotmail but it puts multiple copies of each message every time it loads.

You can always switch to Windows Live Mail (pop, desktop version) available at live.com. Once you do that and set up your hotmail account there, you can click the "synch" button and it will move all messages and folders from hotmail to wlm.
