MSN will not log on. No error code displayed??

Hi there.
When I tried to log on to MSN this morning I was confronted with a "signing in" screen which does not go away. The animation below keeps running and no error message is displayed, even after running for over an hour. I have done a complete virus scan of all the drives on my computer, which came up clear. I have restarted multiple times with no result. I have also reeinstalled MSN twice and the problem stays the same.
Also clicking the "cancel" button does not do anything once the sign in screen is displayed, although I am able to close messenger with no problems.
Hope someone is able to help.
Jake
