I read on an old post - to copy messages from Windows Mail store folder (eml) to the store folder of messages for OE 6 (.DBX). I did that but OE does not 'see" these old messages. I can review both sets by looking in the OE store folder. some are eml for Mail and others are .dbx for OE 6.
I have seen this solution mentioned from Steve in a few places but it does not solve the problem
What do I have to do to put those eml messages onto OE folder? Appears they should be converted to .dbx or somehting.

There maybe a way to do it.
Do not put the files in the OE store folder.
Drag from Windows Explorer and drop the eml files into the Inbox or a user
created folder in OE
