I Dont Understand This New Windows Live Mail!!

    I Dont Understand This New Windows Live Mail!!

    With the help of this forum we have just formatted our 32bit Vista and the computer is much better for it. However I have always used Windows Mail and was surprised to see that its no longer supported, and esp that now there was no spell-check.
    I downloaded the new Windows Live Mail and I have to say that I find all the adverts and MSN pages of celebrity gosip really offputting and Im not sure I can live with it, does anyone know if its possible to delete all the MSN stuff from Windows Live Mail and just leave the email part of it?

    I dont know what you did, but I use Windows live mail. I downloaded from the Live Essentials site. I do not have feeds or newsgroups and do not have the problem that you mentioned. You can, also, use another mail client.

    Hello Rich, well thats very intresting, as you probably gathered Im just feeling my way on this,,,I have just looked at the "Live Essentials" website and whilst its similar there do appear to be differences between it and the "Windows Live Mail" site,,if I Delete Windows Live Mail and install "Live Essentials" do you think I will be getting somthing aproaching the old "Windows Mail" program?

    You will be getting Windows Live mail 2011, maybe what you have. If you are not satisfied, try one of the many others that I have suggested.
