you can uninstall windows live and your files wont be deleted. it doesnt matter if you stop using windows live, that email account is your and files and emails will still be there till you decide to use it again. when you installed windows live did you check system requirements. i have to use windows live 2010 cause my processor doesnt meet the requirement for 2011.
Indeed if using the control panel, there are files that will still be there after uninstalling, as I have done that and it still remains corrupted.
I may or may not have space to export the thousands of e-mails that are in my two accounts.
It has nothing to do with not meeting system requirements for me. There is an error when trying to open messages. I would like to see if it is possible that a file that remains besides the e-mail message files that could cause this corruption. If so, perhaps I can delete that particular file, and then re-install.
However, it seems logical to conclude that whichever file is corrupted and causing all e-mails to be unable to be opened, replied to, etc, is a file that is not generally overwritten..
