Link doesn't do anything for me...

Any instabilities that you've noticed?

I'm downloading it from Softpedia at the moment. Hope it's good! I'm sick of the old look.

Hi Adam,

Sorry the links didn't work for you. I tested them again and they work from my end.

The only thing I noticed was that I had to uninstall and reinstall the add-ons I had for them to work again. (EX: SweetIM) Probably best to uninstall the whole thing then reinstall the new version. It looks pretty much the same except for a few minor changes here and there.

Thanks man. I installed and so far all is good, even patched it with A-Patch and removed the crappy advertisements.

Re: Live Messenger 8.5 beta

Your welcome Adam,

I did notice that the SweetIM add-on stops sending items with the 8.5 beta. I'm just going to uninstall SweetIM and go to Smiley Central instead.

Shawn

Nope,
Smiley Central didn't work on the 8.5 beta either, only on the IE7 toolbar.

Hey where do you get this A-Patch?
the only thing from holding me back from installing this beta is no mess patch.
Ever since I found Mess patch ive been happy with MSN.

So if this patch removes Ad's and stuff I'm sold

Hi Danny,

The new installer program to install the Windows Live Beta 2 programs does not work for the 64 bit Vista yet. You will have to download the individual MSI installer program for it to install on the 64 bit Vista instead. Take a look here for the download information:
