After a LOOOONG wait for this release, I downloaded it 2 hours ago, and after I installed, it restarted, now my pc halts @:

!! 0xc01a001d !! 118415/118679 (\Registry\Machine\Components\Installer...)

It sat there for about an hour, then I restrated, tried Safe mode, Last known good configurations and nothing...

Re: Vista SP1 fu**ed up my OS

try doing a system restore to a point before you installed SP1 using your vista installation disc.

Re: Vista SP1 fu**ed up my OS

I did, it stays there for like an hour (Attempting repairs...) and nothing happens....

The PC is not halted though (NUM / CAPS lock is working)

So I really don't know what else to do...

Re: Vista SP1 fu**ed up my OS

Is there any activity on the HDD led?
I would leave it alone for awhile if you can still use the caps/num lock keys as its most properly doing something in the background...SP1 does take a good hour or more to install.

I'm guessing that you don't have a recent image to restore? Have you tried a repair install using the Vista DVD?
