| Newbie Rep Power: 2 | Re: Error 80240028 on update KB955428 I did exactly what Ex_Brit posted. I see the installation in the installed updates, but Windows Update is still showing that I need to install it. Is there any way to remove it from my Windows Update? |

| Older But No Wiser Rep Power: 18 | Re: Error 80240028 on update KB955428 In the meanwhile the hard drive my Vista was installed on died, completely. I couldn't get anything to even gain access to it...lost everything. I'm in the midst of installing Vista on a new HD as we speak. Groan...!! |
