| vista home premium 32bit | Windows update won't run running vista home prem. when i go to windows update I just get a blank box. the only way to close it is to go to task manager and stop the update process . there are no error messages |

| Vista Home Premium | Re: Windows update won't run Hey Bill, I have the exact problem. I tired the fixes with no luck :{. I actually let it run all night long and finally had to use the task manager to stop it. Sigh |

| Vista Basic | Re: Windows update won't run I had the same problem and found the solution by accident. Turn off the computer and disconnect it from the internet. Turn the computer back on and click on windows update and the screen should load up properly. When it shows you the updates to install, connect the computer back to the internet and the updates should install. |
