Vista - service pack 1

HelloI downloaded the update KB936330 service pack 1 I cannot install it because it tells me that I need at least 2 gigabytes of space on my hard drive, which I don't have.

My question is ?

Do anyone know where I can download a smaller service pack 1 update for my Windows vista 32bit ?

This is the 5 language version for 32bit - 434.5mb.

Don't think that is the problem though - SP1 won't use an additional 2gb when installed, it is the installation process that requires the space.

You may need to create some space either by moving some of your own data to another drive, deleting stuff you don't need , uninstalling apps. you don't use, using Disk cleanup, and possibly reducing the space used by system restore ( make sure you don't remove all your restore points ).

If you are comfortable with it , you could remove all but the last restore point - then create another ( so you have two ) , before installing SP1

i had my computer for 3 months before seeing how much disk space was used by system restore points... i had 14 points that added upto 30.9 GB and since deleting, computer performance is lightning...
