| Ultimate x64 | 80070424 Hi everyone, i have had this error for months now, and its driving me nuts i am about ready to redo my laptop .. i have tried every trick or post that has been out there and now matter what i do i still get the same error .. any advice ? |

Is it from your Event Viewer or are you opening something up and getting it? | Ultimate x64 | Re: 80070424 when i boot the computer and log into windows i get the pop up by the time that says windows cant look for updates or something like that , and then when i try again i get the 80070424 error .. i have tried to repair the bits, and run the au checker , and did the whole reregister the dlls .. and none of that has worked .. the even viewer doesnt have an errors that i can find other than an error about a search .. |

| Ultimate x64 | Re: 80070424 yep ran all my check programs , checkdisk, reg machic, cclearner and a number of other ones .. and as for the system restore , that is basicly wiping the drive and starting over which i didnt want to do .. would take hours to restore the system back to where i can use it again for work and school .. |

I don't think you need to reformat and start anew for just an error code but you can try System Restore as it might help, might not. Give it some time, maybe someone else will chime in here and have a direct answer for your error.  |
