I am trying to update vista using the windows update (32 bit). I check for updates & get a response that I must install an update to the windows update, hit install now and it indicates that its downloading and installing but then I get error 8007007E. It also states that most recent check for updates was never and that updates were installed never but looking at my installed updates the last one was october 2008.
I have trawled through various websites looking for solutions including a search for error code in microsoft site but not much/any luck. From some of the forums I suspect that it
may be something to do with the fact that I have McAfee antivirus installed but thats about it. Have tried turning off firewall (unchecking the box) but no joy.
Is there anybody out there who can help?
