Vista - windows vista error 0x80070430

My automatic update will not turn on. I have done the suggested things in the posts that I read about others with the same problem.

1) click Start, then All programs, then Accessories
> > 2) Right click on Command Promt and select run as Administrator
> > 3) At the command prompt enter the following
> >
> > %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL

After I did this, a message box appeared and it said "The module "C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070430. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Please, can anyone help? Thank you Kat

You might see in Services if WU and BITS isn't disabled or stopped.

Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Services. Make sure Windows Update is set to Automatic or Automatic/Delayed Start and that the service is started. Double click on it and set it to that and if it's stopped then start it. The same with Background Intelligent Transfer Service, set it to Manual and start it if it's stopped.

Download Malwarebytes Anti Malware from Malwarebytes.org and scan your pc you might have some trojans find a keygen if you want register it or you can buy it. Anyway it worked for me

Thank you both so much for helping. I have a trojan remover so I ran that and followed the steps in the first post I made and it is back up and running. Thank you guys so much. Kat
