Vista - Vista new update

Hello Vista world,

First of all I would like to thank you for reading my post. I've been having many problems. The other day I downloaded the new update from vista. Once I restarted my computer I've been getting the 3 of 3 completed.....Restarting... Oh no!!

So I tried googling this issue, and it seems alot of people are getting it. So I ended up trying to backdate my computer. I used an iso disc (Which took me like 2 hours to learn how to make) And I used that to get to the vista restore application, BEFORE I could get to my desktop. But I cant get it to backdate. It gives me the famous

due to an error 0x80071a91

Now the ways to fix this, from what I've seen is to download something. Well I cant download anything -.-. Sorry if this MAY be a repeat post. I tried looking for this problem on the forums already, had no luck. Thank you to all of those who try to help. Im desperate!
