Re: service pack 2

Hi Makinit,

I think the WEI should be the same unless you upgrade PC hardware. Btw, mine remained the same.

Re: service pack 2

Even if you put windows 7, your WEI will remain same what you have with Vista. As martee said, it depends upon computer hardware.

actually i believe there was a uproar on how they where actually benchmarking the HDD to the point it came to lower down to 3.0 or even lower...
although it does not seem to be a problem now...

another would be whether you are using wddm 1.1 driver (if you dont have wddm 1.1 driver the wei is capped...)

(i personally had these experiences with a tablet on 7....)

but the general truth is that yes that's your wei and that should be not change regarless whether you are on vista or 7

and to add generally you should actually gain a few points (after the dot range) but it should not be substantial (unless you are using a IGP that is in the middle of transition between wddm 1.0 and 1.1)

and rockingfiber can you check your event log
or even better download this
http://www.vistax64.com/software-too...info-tool.html
and post your output/log here...

Hello Rockingfiber,

Sorry to hear you still have trouble to install SP2. Really have no idea how to help you in this. Recently I was searching the net and I found the error code 80004005 is the common one and very hard to solve. Also, there are potentially lots of different causes of this error code.

You might look for possible solution here.

Cheers...
