Vista - Cannot install Junk Email Filter KB970012

Somehow I doubt

, as quite many people have this spec. still only few of us are here. To be honest I was expecting more people joining discussing, offering solutions...

Also having problems with kb970012 everything else installed fine.

I've tried over 30 times to install it, crashes every single time

. Any idea what is the cause of this? I don't know if this is related to SP2, but until I installed it, everything worked as a charm. I even run vista diagnostic tool (health report), everything seem in order: Generate A System Health Report In Vista :: Mysticgeek’s Realm

I'm running out of ideas.

I re-installed office 07 and outlook and now i cannot re-install microsoft sp2 or kb970012. I have been in contact w/someone from microsoft and everything they want me to try, i wind out w/errors. I might want to point out, i am not a computer wiz. Re-loading the programs was the only thing i could do. They are supposed to call me--i will you know if anything works.

Microsoft tech worked on my computer for over 1 and1/2 hours last night, still can't load sp2 or kb970012. Supposed to get a different tech tomorrow night.

you're talking about Office SP2 update, right? I thought I should reinstall my Office 2007, but was afraid for the same reason - "what if something goes wrong with SP2 installation, and what if I cannot install this $hitty filter again". All my hopes now are that MS will release another junk filter, so I can forget this one. They are not related, right?

yes, office sp2 my plan was to wait also, but the only place I am see anyone with problems is here. I went to the help in Outlook and sent an email to microsoft. They sent me several things to try. none worked for me.

Update, microsoft tech still haven't got it installed--continue tomorrow. The thought is that there is something wrong w/windows installer.
