| Vista Premium 64/Ubuntu Hardy 64 | Windows Update notification I have selected to have Windows Update notify me before downloading any Windows Updates. I never see the Icon in the System Tray at all. The only time I see the Windows Update Icon is when I manually go to Windows Update and there is an update waiting to be downloaded. Any other time, the Icon does not show up. How or what can I do to have this Icon inform me that an Update is ready to be downloaded? |

| Vista Home Premium x64bit | Re: Windows Update notification I would try going int the Control Panel>Windows Updates>Change Settings and tick the "Check for updates but let me choose..." box if you haven't already but it sounds like you have. No icon will appear in the system tray unless updates are available. |

| Vista Premium 64/Ubuntu Hardy 64 | Re: Windows Update notification Thanks for the reply, but the item to tick above is exactly the one that I have checked and it does not work as I said before. Thanks anyway. |
