| Newbie | 32 or 64 Bit Vista When I recieved my new laptop I was pretty excited about having and using 64 bit processors. But as it turns out Dell ships Dells ships Vista in 32 bit. I called tech support concerning the upgrade to 64 bit and they supplied new OS and drivers. My question is: is the upgrade tuo 64 bit worth the fall off in applications. And does the upgrade justify itself?? |

| Senior Member | Re: 32 or 64 Bit Vista if you have the 64 bit disk i would say go ahead and install it. it will be faster for you and as for applications, there are very few now that will not work with 64 bit OS's. that may have been the case when 64 bit was first rolled out but that is no longer the case now. also, if you want to run 4gb of memory or more you will need 64 bit anyhow |
